Orient Express- A journey in to another world

its started on 5th june 1883 as 'Express d'Orient' n later renamed as Orient Express in 1891.
train services was suspended during 1st world war in 1914 n resumed in 1918,during 2n world war sevice also resumed between 1939 to 1945
in 1930, 3 parallel services were running
1).the Orient Express,
2).the Simplon Orient Express,
3).the Arlberg Orient Express.

in 1962, the Orient Express and Arlberg Orient Express had stopped running, leaving only the Simplon Orient Express. This was replaced in 1962 by a slower service called the Direct Orient Express, which ran daily cars from Paris to Belgrade, and twice weekly services from Paris to Istanbul and Athens.
